See All ReviewsPho Sydney serves really solid Vietnamese comfort food with rich broth and fresh ingredients. The pho has great depth of flavor, and the portion size is satisfying. The space is clean, the service is quick, and everything tastes freshly prepared. The only downside is the price — it’s definitely on the more expensive side compared to other pho spots. Still, the quality is good enough that I’d come back when I’m craving a well-made bowl of pho.
Chocking hazard! Came to Atlantic City for a concert and tried this pho place — the only one in town. Both our bowls had long pieces of beef tendon. While eating, my boyfriend suddenly choked on one — started gasping for air, coughing, crying, and even ran to the bathroom trying to breathe. I told the staff someone was choking. They only coldly pointed to the restroom and would not check on him; only when I insisted did they call 911. After nearly five minutes, he finally dislodged the tendon and spat out blood — obviously scratched his throat badly. He could breathe again, but was a mess — tears, runny nose, blood. Still no concern from the staff. When we decided to leave, the staff asked us to pay despite the incident. The owner finally waived the charge for his bowl, charged me for mine. The meat mostly raw, broth discolored(very brown after the beef blood got cooked in the soup) — and terrible service. I will never return. Beware if you come here.
Authentic Vietnamese spot. Ca kho to was delicious caramelized cat fish. The cat fish was so white and fluffy. So good with white rice. Salted squid was delicious too but a little chewy. The bun thit nuong was pretty good, but the pork chop is where it is at (and Ca kho to too)!! Perfectly flavored
